This hike loops through the Huckleberry Botanic and Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserves. Along the way are open ridge tops, East Bay and City views, volcanic terrain, rocky pits, stone labyrinths, grassy slopes, varied shrubbery, ferns, forested canyons, gravel roads, single track trails and moderate climbs and descents. A network of trails and multiple access points with parking and allow for shorter hikes if desired. Watch out for ticks and poison oak and be prepared for hot weather during summer months.

For a shorter hike, or if the lot is full, you could start from one of the trailheads further north along Skyline Boulevard.
