USA> Bay Area> Marin County>

Overview

hike4.3adv

This hike explores the east edge of Mt Tamalpais Watershed, looping over Bald Hill and around Phoenix Lake. You'll enjoy a variety of features including oak-filled canyons, grassy hills, open ridge tops, conifer forest, lake shores, fire roads and single track trails. The highlight is 360 degree views of Marin County from the summit of Bald Hill. A network of trails allows for hikes with less distance or climbing if desired. Watch out for ticks, poison oak and high temperatures during the warm season.
