USA> Bay Area> Marin County>

Overview

hike4.3adv

This rewarding hike loops over Mt Tamalpais from Deer Park. You'll enjoy lots of variety including quiet canyons, oak forest, open ridgetops, grassy slopes, lake shores, redwood groves and chaparral highlands with rocky outcrops. The summits of Tam and Bald Hill offer excellent views over Marin County and the San Francisco Bay. The first half of the route has lots of steep, rough climbs, while the second half is a long easy descent on graded fire roads. Bring plenty of water during the warm season.
