Cascade Pine

USA> Bay Area> Marin County>

Overview

hike4.0adv

This hike loops over Pine Mountain and White Hill from Cascade Canyon. Along the way are fire roads, oak forest, a seasonal waterfall, steep climbs, open ridges, grassy flanks, colorful geology, chaparral and short patches of rough, rocky terrain. The summits and ridgetops offer frequent views of Mt Tamalpais and Marin County. Keep an eye out for ticks and poison oak. There isn't much shade so be prepared for sun and heat during the warm season. Some junctions lack signs so it's best to use a map.

Park near the trailhead at the end of Cascade Drive. Signs say parking is allowed only off-pavement. You may have to drive back out a little way to find a spot.

You're parking right next to people's houses here so please be respectful of residents who live in the area, especially on early weekend mornings.
