Point Reyes Beach - North

USA> Bay Area> Point Reyes>

Overview

hike4.0adv

This hike explores the north end of Point Reyes Beach from Abbotts Lagoon to Kehoe Beach. You'll enjoy grassy hills, marshes, lagoons, dune fields, shorebirds, tide pools, rocky cliffs and hours with nothing but open beach and ocean in sight. It's best to go early on a calm day during a falling tide so you can walk on firm sand at water's edge. At very low tide you may be able to reach the "Keyhole", a natural hole in a rock wall that leads to another beach beyond the north end of the route.
