Agate Palomarin

USA> Bay Area> Marin County>

Overview

hike4.8adv

This hike explores the southern tip of Point Reyes National Seashore from Agate Beach Park to the Palomarin trailhead. It's a long, rewarding walk along a shoreline featuring sand and pebble beaches, beige cliffs, tide pools, rocky reefs, stream outlets and shorebirds. Watch out for rockfalls below the cliffs. Check the tides as some spots may be impassable at high water. You can either return along the shoreline or via a patchwork of trails along the blufftops, reachable at several spots along the route.
