Konahuanui via Pali Notches

USA> Hawaii> Oahu>

Overview

hike4.0exp

This exciting and dangerous hike climbs Nu'uanu Saddle from the Pali Notches to the summit of Konahuanui. You'll enjoy knife-edge ridgetops, satisfying scrambling, stunning views and a huge sense of accomplishment. In exchange you'll face hours of steep and overgrown terrain, intimidating rope climbs and sustained exposure above dizzying drops. Many expert hikers have negotiated the Notches but don't attempt the infamous Chimney unless you're a confident technical climber. Check all ropes before use.
