Overview

hike2.0adv

This hike follows the Pacific Crest Trail from Highway 74 to the outskirts of Anza, a diffuse high desert community. It's an aerobic walk on a well-graded trail over rolling scrub-filled terrain dotted with yucca and occasional cactus. The far point is a rest stop at mile 145 of the PCT. The scenery doesn't change much but you'll enjoy frequent views and some interesting canyon rim terrain. For a shorter hike with less climbing turn back from the signed intersection with Table Mountain Truck Trail.
