PCT to Fobes Ranch

USA> Palm Springs> San Jacinto Mountains>

Overview

hike3.0adv

This hike follows the Pacific Crest Trail from Highway 74 to Fobes Ranch. Along the way are scrub-lined foothills, beige granite boulders, switchback climbs, open ridgetops, saddle junctions, flank traverses, wildflowers and mixed forest. Highlights include colorful geology and frequent views of the San Jacinto Mountains and Coachella Valley. The PCT is well maintained and graded so the miles fly by fairly quickly. If you prefer a shorter hike turn west at one of two junctions that exit via Morris Ranch.
