Overview

hike3.0int

This hike climbs Eisenhower Peak from The Living Desert. You start off on paved walkways through the zoo but soon head out into open desert. The official Middle and Wilderness Loop trails are suitable for intermediate hikers and lead to a shaded picnic table at the foot of the peak. You'll enjoy a boulder-strewn canyon, scattered cactus and ridgetop views of Palm Desert. Advanced hikers can scramble off-trail from near the picnic table up to the actual summit for excellent views over the Coachella Valley.
