This hike climbs Eagle Canyon from Rimrock Plaza. You start off on the Goat Trails but soon veer off to a large earth dam. Next you work your way up the wild twisting canyon, scrambling over or bypassing dry falls and rock obstacles. Finally you loop back on faint trails in the rimlands above Palm Springs. You'll enjoy colorful geology, a palm grove, frequent views and a feeling of exploration. All in all it's a fun adventure on a less-traveled route that loops around the very popular Goat Trails.
