Sevenmile Canyon - South Fork

USA> Moab> Moab North>

Overview

hike3.3adv

This hike follows the south fork of Sevenmile Canyon. It's a pleasant walk along a mostly-smooth stream bottom with beautiful scenery, twisting turns, colorful cliffs and cottonwood trees. At the far end are short sandstone narrows with a "grotto" pour-off that often hosts a small pool. Frequent shade makes this a good hike for warmer days. A few short side canyons can be explored if desired. You may spot faded petroglyphs along the way. The route is lightly traveled but you might encounter horses or ATVs.
