This hike covers the shoreline walkways around the north part of Bay Farm Island. You'll enjoy hours of paved bayshore paths, a beach, shorebirds, a pedestrian bridge, small city parks, a ferry terminal and continuous water views across San Francisco Bay. The route is mostly peaceful but you'll encounter vehicle traffic in some areas. For variety you can return through a residential neighborhood along a quiet, twisting waterway with ducks and shade trees. This can be a good option on warmer days.
