This hike explores Point Pinole Regional Shoreline along the SF Bay Trail. Features include Bay views, broad marshes, creek outlets, small beaches, shorebirds, a forested peninsula, blufftop trails and a 1,250 foot pier extending from the Point out into San Pablo Bay. Most of the route follows paved bike paths and recently improved trails, making for easy going. Some parts of the park are popular on weekends. A network of trails and multiple trailheads with parking allow for shorter hikes if desired.
