Ohulehule Southeast Ridge

USA> Hawaii> Oahu>

Overview

hike2.5adv

This epic hike climbs Pu'u Ohulehule from its southeast ridge then exits via Kahana Valley. Highlights include lush jungle, dramatic ridgetop terrain and stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The notorious, rarely-climbed southeast ridge involves heavy overgrowth, lots of scrambling, steep and slippery terrain and frequent exposure above big drops. The ascent is only 2 mi (3 km) long but can easily take 6 hours. Be wary of old ropes and cables.
