Maunawili Falls

USA> Hawaii> Oahu>

Overview

hike3.0int

This short, popular hike leads to Maunawili Falls. You start off briefly on a utility road, then soon turn right on a well-worn trail that parallels Maunawili Stream through mixed forest and jungle. After climbing over a small hill the trail eventually ends at the lower falls and a nice swimming hole. If you're comfortable scrambling on wet rocks it's often possible to visit the smaller upper falls. Be prepared for mosquitoes and a rocky, rooty, muddy trail trail that can be vague in spots.
