Kapa'a Coastal Path

USA> Hawaii> Kauai>

Overview

hike2.3int

This hike follows the Kauai Shared-Use Path (Ke Ala Hele Makalae) along the coast from Kapa'a to Donkey Beach. You'll enjoy coast views, 3 beaches, palm trees, river mouths, bridges, picnic tables and an old pier. The paved path is wide, smooth and popular with walkers, runners and cyclists. The southern part is more developed and crowded, but offers proximity to Kapa'a shops. The northern part is more remote, quiet and scenic. Multiple trailheads with parking allow for shorter hikes if desired.
