Lanihuli via Pali Puka

USA> Hawaii> Oahu>

Overview

hike3.5exp

This challenging hike climbs Nu'uanu Saddle from the Pali Puka to the summit of Lanihuli. You'll enjoy hours of knife-edge ridgetops, dramatic cliffs, continuous stunning views and a big sense of accomplishment. Challenges include steep slippery terrain, long stretches of dangerous exposure and tricky scrambling above dizzying drops. Don't go without a guide unless you're sure of your abilities. The ascent can take up to 6 hours one way, so most people exit from the summit via an alternate route.
