Owl Draw Upland

USA> Moab> Colorado Upriver>

Overview

hike3.5int

This hike follows a section of the Owl Draw Upland jeep road past arches and colorful, convoluted cliffs. After about 40 minutes you can leave the road to explore a beautiful alcove and scramble up for a look at Porthole Arch. Next the road leads to the former site of Arrowhead Arch, which collapsed in 2010. Eventually you reach a plateau with views of Squaw Window. The road has a few rough and steep spots but mostly makes for a satisfying aerobic workout. Go early and bring lots of water on warm days.
