Courthouse Point

USA> Moab> Arches>

Overview

hike3.5adv

This hike leads to a seldom-visited point overlooking the confluence of Courthouse Wash with the Colorado River. You start off along the wash, dodging scratchy overgrowth and muddy spots. Next you scramble out of the canyon up to a plateau and navigate south across a labyrinth of sandstone humps and gullies. Eventually you reach the elevated tip of the plateau with views of Arches National Park, Moab Valley and the La Sal Mountains. Be prepared for biting insects and bring plenty of water on warm days.
