Sevenmile Canyon - North Fork

USA> Moab> Moab North>

Overview

hike3.5adv

This rewarding hike explores the north fork of Sevenmile Canyon and loops around Monitor and Merrimac Buttes. You'll enjoy an intimate, branching canyon, lush greenery, shade trees, beige stone ledges, broad slickrock plazas and towering red sandstone cliffs. Challenges include beginner scrambling and muddy spots if it's wet. The canyon's middle branch ends at a tall pour-off, while the right branch leads up to the buttes. For a longer hike continue further west along the north fork's main left branch.
