Overview

hike3.0adv

This hike loops through varied desert near the north edge of Joshua Tree National Park. You'll enjoy groomed trails, backcountry views, rocky hills, photogenic gullies, beige boulders, scattered cactus, blooming yucca and stands of namesake Joshua trees. Bring water and sun protection. A network of trails allows for shorter or longer hikes. It's worth the side trip to Copper Mountain View. An optional spur along the Big Pine trail offers quiet backcountry but can be skipped for a shorter outing.
