Diamond Head Rim

USA> Hawaii> Oahu>

Overview

hike3.5adv

This satisfying hike loops around the rim of Diamond Head Crater. You'll enjoy hours of open ridgetop, continuous city and crater views, a variety of military ruins, some easy scrambling and a fun feeling of adventure. Obstacles include a steep slippery slope below the north rim, a narrow spot with exposure along the west rim and inconvenient barbed wire along the south rim. Unfortunately the rim is closed to the public and should not be attempted unless you have official permission from the authorities.
