Swanky Rim

USA> Moab> Arches>

Overview

hike2.5adv

This hike explores part of the Salt Wash canyon rim. You'll enjoy hours of colorful clifftops, continuous canyon views, convoluted sandstone formations, soaring spires, narrow peninsulae and Swanky Arch. You start and end on a long, sandy jeep road. This can feel monotonous but the rim is worth it. An optional side spur follows vague trails to a viewpoint facing Convert Arch. Consider skipping this for a shorter hike. While exploring the rim take care to walk on rock, detouring around fragile soils.
