Overview

hike3.0adv

This hike traces the north rim of Hunter Canyon. You start on an exciting singletrack trail along ledges and shelves perched dramatically above the deep, twisting gorge below. Next you follow an easy Jeep road past sandstone cliffs with periodic views. Eventually you reach a junction near the pouroff at the head of Hunter Canyon. The singletrack starts off vague and rough; some route finding and scrambling are usually required. Keep an eye out for Hunter Arch on the opposite side of lower Hunter Canyon.

There's no pullout where the trail meets Kane Springs Road. Your best options are to park either at Funnel Arch Trailhead or in the lot at the mouth of Hunter Canyon.
