USA> Phoenix>

Overview

hike3.5int

This hike loops over Butte Peak, the highest point in the Desert Mountain trail system. You'll enjoy groomed trails, frequent high points with views and quiet desert backcountry with a variety of cactus. The summit offers a windbreak and a panoramic overlook of the Phoenix region. Well-maintained trails and graded switchbacks make for a satisfying workout. The network of trails allows for shorter or longer hikes as desired. Bring sun protection and water, and avoid going mid-day during the warm season.
