This spectacular hike loops through Peekaboo and Spooky slot canyons. You'll enjoy canyon views, colorful geology, arches and hours of world class contorted slot canyons. It's nice to return via shady Dry Fork Narrows. The slots require lots of scrambling and crawling through low passages. Peekaboo starts with a tricky 4 m (12 ft) climb which can be bypassed to the left if needed. Spooky is very narrow, dropping to 25 cm (10 in) in spots. Bring plenty of water and start early to beat the heat and crowds.

Reaching the trailhead from Hwy 12 means driving about an hour along dirt roads. These roads are generally maintained well enough that any highway vehicle with reasonable ground clearance can reach the trailhead. However there are long sandy stretches that can become heavily washboarded, making for a rough and unpleasant ride. If possible, it's best to use a vehicle with tires and suspension designed for rough conditions.
The slot canyons can be dangerous during or after rainy conditions due to the risk of flash floods. Check the weather before going.
