Grand Wash / Cassidy Arch

USA> Capitol Reef>

Overview

hike3.0int

This hike follows Grand Wash and optionally climbs to Cassidy Arch. You'll enjoy an easy stroll along a flat canyon bottom with tall walls, dramatic narrows, colorful geology, shady spots and trailheads with parking at both ends. If you have an extra 90 mins and energy for a 150 m (500 ft) climb it's definitely worth hiking the spur trail to Cassidy Arch, a picturesque span set in red slickrock with views over the surrounding area. Parking can be tight on weekends. Go early to beat the heat and crowds.
