Arch Tower Canyon

USA> San Rafael Swell> North Reef>

Overview

hike3.0adv

This hike climbs Arch Tower Canyon to the top of the San Rafael Reef. You'll enjoy a fun sense of adventure exploring your way up a wild canyon, sandstone cliffs, multicolored geology, interesting narrows, a tall butte with an arch and big views over Mexican Mountain from the top. You'll encounter a series of pouroffs and overgrown boulder pits that can be bypassed, usually on the left side as you head uphill. One pouroff requires scrambling with exposure, making this suitable for experienced hikers only.
