This spectacular hike follows the south end of the Rainbow Rocks rim from Tombstone Rock most of the way to Turret Point, then loops back on the valley floor. Along the way are hours of red and multicolored slickrock, dramatic clifftop terrain over humps and around gullies, some beginner climbing and continuous views of open desert. There's lots of big vertical exposure but it's not too dangerous as long as you're careful to avoid the steepest spots and keep back a safe distance from the edge.

Use caution when driving on Dubinky Well and Spring Canyon Point Roads. These dirt roads are mostly graded and usually suitable for highway vehicles but have some rough, rocky spots and may dip suddenly when crossing small washes. Spring Canyon Point Road has long stretches of fine sand that can turn into clay-like mud when wet so avoid going if it has rained recently in the area.
